DefectA recall is initiated due to the confirmed possibility of an accident caused by improper wiring of the turn signal switch harness. Continuous vibration during vehicle operation may cause the insulation of the wiring to wear out, leading to a short circuit. In such cases, the turn signal switch wiring may come into contact with the left stay of the middle cowl, resulting in damage and a short circuit. This can cause malfunctions of the turn signals, brake lights, horn, instrument panel, hazard lights, tail lights, and license plate lights, increasing the risk of an accident.

RemedyFor affected vehicles, the turn signal switch harness will be inspected and the wiring re-routed. If the harness is damaged, it will be replaced with a countermeasure part.
