DefectThere may be a Body Control Module software error, in which case, even when the vehicle is stopped and the shift lever is in a position other than "P" (i.e., "R/N/D/L"), the power can be turned off with the start button, or, after pressing the start button to turn off the engine while the vehicle is stopped, if the shift lever is moved to another gear position, the indicator light for the previous shift lever position may remain on. This is a recall due to the possibility of these issues. (This may not satisfy U.S. safety standards)
