| Hazard description | Pacific Door Systems Limited (PDS) recently became aware of a contamination issue involving asbestos fibres impacting one of the categories of fire-rated door ‘cores’ (known as ‘FRB board’ or ‘FRB core’) previously used by PDS in production of Pyropanel fire-rated doors. The FRB board is manufactured by a third party outside of New Zealand. PDS wishes to stress that the FRB board does not contain asbestos by design. | Remedy | Customers who have purchased any of PDS’ fire-rated doors can check their order details, or enquire with PDS directly using the details provided in this notice, to confirm whether any of purchased doors are part of the relevant product ranges. PDS has contacted all customers to whom, based on its records, fire-rated doors have been supplied where those doors fall into the category the subject of the recall (if you believe you have purchased affected doors, but not been contacted already, please enquire with PDS using the details in this notice).
