Hazard descriptionModern Brands have recalled this product because independent laboratory testing has detected naturally occurring Chrysotile asbestos in some samples of Galt - Mini Makes - Sand Stickers. Importantly, no respirable asbestos has been detected. The presence of asbestos fibre bundles does not imply that there is a risk of asbestos exposure. Asbestos fibres are hazardous only if they are sufficiently fine, airborne and inhaled in sufficient quantity. The release of respirable asbestos fibres is unlikely to occur unless the sand is processed by mechanical means such as crushing or pulverising. Whil…
