DefectBevel Gear installed with Wrong Ratio | The wrong bevel gear may be installed on the front axle steering. The required gear ratio for HD HDH SHD RHD and Intouro is 1.117:1. A Bevel gear with ratio of 1:1 was installed. For eCitaro models the reverse misinstallation may have occurred. If a 1:1 bevel gear is installed instead of 1.117:1 the wheel steering angles required in accordance with UN ECE-R 79 (section 6.2.5) in the event of a steering system failure can no longer be achieved.
