Hazard descriptionThe product presents a serious risk of fire as the plug fuse has insufficient granular filler and does not meet the dimensional requirements of BS 1363. The filler is required to ensure the safe operation of the fuse under fault conditions, and its absence could lead to the plug overheating and/or exploding under fault conditions. Insufficient distance between the edge of the plug and the plug pins can enable access to live parts, causing an electric shock.
