Hazard descriptionThe product presents a high risk of fire as the plug pins are inadequately sized and have a step. Through repeated use, this could cause the damaged socket to overheat and the plug to ignite, causing a fire. Additionally, the plug was not fitted with a fuse link conforming to BS 1362. The fuse is required to ensure the safe operation of the plug under fault conditions. Improvements are required to marking, labelling and documentation.
