| Defect | This recall relates to a potential issue with the vehicle’s Supplementary Restraint System (SRS), specifically the Side Impact Sensors (SIS). Hyundai Motor Company has identified that, in some vehicles, the Side Impact Sensors may have been assembled with an incorrect specification sensor. As a result, air bag deployment could be delayed in the event of a collision. A delayed air bag deployment may reduce occupant protection and increase the risk of injury during an accident. |
