DefectIn the non-driven rear-rear axle hub assembly, due to insufficient evaluation regarding the wear of the lock washer, the worn lock washer may come off due to vehicle vibration, etc., interfere with the hub cover, and generate abnormal noise. If the vehicle continues to be used in this state, wear particles generated by the interference may enter the hub bearing, causing the hub bearing to seize, and in the worst case, there is a risk of fire.

RemedyFor all vehicles, apply bearing grease to the non-driven rear-rear axle hub nut, then replace the lock washer, retainer ring, and sealing ring with new ones. If the lock washer is found to have come off, the entire hub assembly concerned will be replaced with a new one.
