DefectThe Occupant Restraint Controller (ORC) module on about 14,595 of the above vehicles may have been built containing software which may cause transient door airbag pressure sensor faults to remain active for the lifetime of the sensor, which may result in delayed deployment of the Side Air Bag (SAB). A delayed deployment of the SAB may reduce front seat occupant protection in the event of certain types of crashes, potentially resulting in an increased risk of injury to motor vehicle occupants.
