DefectDue to a manufacturing defect, liquid may enter the electrical water pump connectors. This could cause an electrical short circuit leading to a vehicle fire. A vehicle fire could increase the risk of injury or death to vehicle occupants, other road users or bystanders and/or damage to property.
RemedyOwners should immediately contact their preferred authorised BMW dealer to schedule an appointment to have the plug connector inspected and if necessary replaced. All work is completed free of charge.
