DefectDue to a manufacturing defect, a component of the brake booster system may have been incorrectly welded and could break. If this occurs, a higher pedal force will be required and the braking distance may be extended. In addition, the Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) systems may not function._x000D_ Note: Drivers will be alerted by the brake warning light in the instrument cluster and a message will appear on the central display. A reduction in braking performance and/or a loss of vehicle control could increase the risk of an accident, causing injury or death …
RemedyOwners of affected vehicles will be contacted by BMW Australia to schedule an appointment at their preferred authorised BMW dealer to get the work carried out, free of charge.
