| Defect | The primary drive gear tightening bolt may suffer a fatigue failure, causing the pulse rotor to drop off. If this occurs, it could lead to the ignition signal to fail, resulting in an engine stall. A loss of motive power whilst riding could increase the risk of an accident causing injury or death to the rider and/or passenger, or other road users. |
| Remedy | Owners of affected vehicles can contact their nearest Honda Motorcycle dealer and arrange for their motorcycle to be inspected and repaired, free of charge. |
