DefectDue to a manufacturing defect, the stop rivets on the adjustment rails of the rear seats may have not been installed. As a result, the seats could move beyond the defined end position during manual adjustment. In the event of an accident or hard braking if the rear seats move beyond their defined end position it could increase the risk of injury or death to vehicle occupants.
RemedyOwners of affected vehicles should contact their local Mercedes-Benz dealer to make an appointment to have the work carried out, free of charge.
