| Defect | Due to a manufacturing defect, the main body wiring harness may chafe against the transmission housing and become damaged. If this occurs, it could lead to a short circuit resulting in a vehicle fire. A vehicle fire may increase the risk of serious injury or death to the rider, other road users, bystanders and/or damage to property. |
| Remedy | Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by Ford Motor Company in writing asking them to schedule an appointment with their preferred authorised dealership to have the work carried out, free of charge._x000D_ For further information, contact any authorised Ford Dealer or Ford Customer Relationship Centre on 13 FORD (13 3673). |
