DefectDue to a manufacturing issue, oil may leak past the engine piston rings. If this occurs, the engine could stall causing the rear wheel to lock leading to a loss of motive power and vehicle control whilst riding. A loss of motive power and vehicle control whilst riding or/and a vehicle fire, could increase the risk of serious injury or death to riders, other road users, bystanders and/or damage to property.
RemedyRepair activity is currently under preparation, once the repair action is available owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by Honda Australia Motorcycles asking them to schedule an appointment to have the work carried out, free of charge._x000D_ Note: Until the rectification is carried out, please check your engine oil level before every ride and if you experience any abnormal engine noise, or vibration occurs, stop riding at once and contact an authorised Honda Motorcycle Dealer.
