| Defect | Due to a manufacturing defect, the left-hand rear drive shaft may have been incorrectly installed. As a result, it could lead to a loss of motive power whilst driving and/or unintended vehicle movement while the vehicle is in park if the parking brake is not applied. A loss of power whilst driving and/or unintended vehicle movement could increase the risk of an accident causing serious injury or death to vehicle occupants and/or other road users. |
| Remedy | Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by Ford Motor Company Australia in writing asking them to contact their local dealership to have their vehicle rectified, free of charge._x000D_ For further information, contact any authorised Ford Dealer or Ford Customer Relationship Centre on 13 FORD (13 3673). |
