| Defect | Due to a manufacturing defect, the inner frame edge of the front seats may have been produced with improperly finished surfaces. As a result, the frame edge could damage the side airbags during deployment. In the event of an accident the airbag not deploying as intended may result in insufficient protection, increasing the risk of injury or death to vehicle occupants. |
| Remedy | Owner of affected vehicles will be contacted and are asked to contact Škoda Dealer to schedule an appointment to have the vehicle repaired. The repair will be carried out at no cost to the customer and may take between one to three hours. |
