DefectOn certain side-by-sides, the positive (red) battery terminal cover could become damaged by the seat base. As a result, the positive battery post could be exposed and contact nearby components. If this happens, there could be a short circuit._x000D_ A short circuit could increase the risk of injury and/or a fire.

RemedyTo reduce the safety risk, Polaris advises you to inspect the red battery terminal cover for damage. If the cover is damaged, you should not use your side-by-side until the recall repairs are completed. Polaris will notify owners by mail and provide you with a protective cover and instructions for how to install it. If you would like help to install the cover, you can contact a Polaris dealership to have it installed free of charge.
