DefectIssue: On certain vehicles, water could enter the electric power steering (EPS) system. As a result, the wiring harness for the EPS system could corrode. If this happens, there could be a sudden loss of power steering assist. Safety Risk: A loss of power steering assist can cause a sudden increase in steering effort, especially at low speeds, and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: FCA Canada will notify owners in writing and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the wiring harness and EPS gear.
