DefectOn certain electric snowmobiles, the breather valve for the high-voltage battery may not be properly sealed. As a result, water could enter the high-voltage battery. If this happens, the high-voltage battery could overheat._x000D_ A battery that overheats can create a fire risk, even while the snowmobile is parked and turned off.
ComponentHigh Voltage
RemedyTo reduce the safety risk, BRP advises not to drive your snowmobile in water above the running boards and not to expose the battery to water until the recall repairs have been completed. If the snowmobile has been exposed to these conditions, BRP advises you to park it outside and away from other vehicles or structures. BRP will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your snowmobile to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the breather valve. The dealer will also install a new battery housing protection plate.
