DefectDue to an inappropriate control program in the combination meter, the warning display time indicating that the rear seat belt is not worn when the vehicle is started or the engine is started may not meet the display time stipulated by law. Therefore, it does not comply with Safety Standard Article 22-3 (Seat Belts, etc.).

RemedyFor all vehicles, the control program of the meter ECU will be rewritten to the improved specification, or the combination meter will be replaced with an improved part. In addition, users will be informed that the display time of the seat belt warning and the illumination conditions of the warning light will change due to the countermeasure, and an explanation sheet for in-vehicle storage will be distributed.
