DefectIn the high-voltage battery cable, due to inappropriate terminal surface treatment of the cable connector and insufficient support spring load of the connector, when the underside of the vehicle interferes (e.g., when going over a bump), the terminals may slide and wear. If use continues, the terminals may oxidize, increasing resistance and leading to poor conductivity, which could cause the system warning light to illuminate and the vehicle to become inoperable.
ComponentPower supply unit for electric motor (high-voltage battery cable)
RemedyFor all affected vehicles, replace the high-voltage battery cable and connector support spring with improved parts.
