DefectIn the power transmission system of the combine harvester, due to inadequate design review, some welds around the tension arm pivot shaft have insufficient penetration. As a result, stress concentrates on the insufficiently penetrated weld areas due to vibrations and impacts during machine operation, which in the worst case could lead to the tension arm pivot shaft breaking, making the vehicle unable to drive.
ComponentPower transmission system (tension arm pivot shaft)
RemedyAll affected parts will be replaced with parts that have implemented the following countermeasures: ① Increased the diameter of the tension arm pivot shaft and added welding. ② Increased the plate thickness of the tension arm to improve rigidity. ③ Changed the tension spring to allow for more clearance in the compressed length. ④ Added a pivot point to the tension rod assembly.
