Defect	In the engine control unit, due to an inappropriate control program, the engine's control program may not sufficiently tolerate manufacturing errors in the nozzle part of the turbocharger's turbine housing. As a result, the exhaust gas flow velocity changes under load and in certain rotational ranges, altering the efficiency acting on the turbine and changing the output characteristics. In the worst case, exhaust gas values may exceed regulatory limits.
