DefectDue to insufficient design review of the ACM (Aftertreatment System Control Module) bracket attached to the muffler, the mounting nuts may loosen. Therefore, if use continues in this state, the component may detach from the muffler, damaging the ACM harness, making it impossible to restart the engine. In the worst case, the ACM may fall off onto the road along with its bracket.
ComponentExhaust emission control device (ACM bracket)
RemedyFor all vehicles, replace the ACM bracket mounting nuts with improved parts, add spring washers, and tighten them. Additionally, if enlargement, cracks, or rust are found in the ACM bracket's mounting holes, replace the ACM bracket with a new one.
