DefectIn the insulation monitoring function of the high-voltage system of the electric control unit, due to insufficient design consideration, if foreign matter adheres between the brush module and the bearing shield within the electric drive unit, causing insulation failure, the location of the abnormal insulation resistance may not be correctly detected. As a result, by incorrectly recognizing that an insulation resistance abnormality has occurred throughout the entire circuit, there is a risk that the high-voltage battery system will shut down, causing the vehicle to stop and preventing it from …

RemedyFor all vehicles, the software for the insulation monitoring function will be rewritten with a countermeasure program. The above measure will be carried out by one of the following methods: by bringing the vehicle to a dealer and connecting it to a diagnostic tool, or, once preparations are complete, by remote distribution to affected vehicles for users to install themselves. Please note that for ZAA-42DU44 only, software preparation will take time, so the details of the defect will be announced, and contact will be made again once it is ready.
