DefectIn the control program of the engine control unit, due to inappropriate vehicle settings, the injector's manufacturing tolerance may not be accommodated during catalyst warm-up, leading to misfires. As a result, depending on the number of misfires, the engine warning light (MIL) may illuminate, and fuel injection to the affected cylinder may stop, increasing engine vibration. In the worst case, exhaust gas values may exceed regulatory limits.

RemedyFor all vehicles, rewrite the engine control unit's control program with the updated control program.
