DefectIn the engine control unit, due to an inappropriate control program, the regeneration interval of the diesel particulate filter (DPF) may not be performed properly, leading to an excessive amount of particulate matter accumulating in the DPF. As a result, during DPF regeneration, the ceramic filter may overheat and be damaged, potentially causing the vehicle to no longer meet exhaust gas emission standards.
ComponentEngine (Engine Control Unit)
RemedyFor all affected vehicles, the version of the engine control unit's control program will be checked and updated to the latest specification. Additionally, the diesel particulate filter (DPF) will be inspected, and if replacement is deemed necessary, it will be replaced with a new one.
