DefectIn the air pressure control system (APS), ① due to inappropriate material of the air dryer regeneration control valve seal, the seal may soften due to oil in the compressed air, making it unable to maintain air pressure airtightness. ② Due to an inappropriate control program, moisture in the compressed air may freeze when the outside temperature is low, obstructing the valve's sealing and making it unable to maintain air pressure airtightness. As a result, an air leak may occur, causing the warning light to illuminate. If use continues, the air pressure will drop, leading to emergency braking…
ComponentBraking system (air dryer regeneration control valve)
RemedyFor all vehicles, replace the air dryer regeneration control valve with an improved part and rewrite the control program to prevent moisture in the compressed air from freezing when the outside temperature is low. Additionally, designate the air dryer regeneration control valve as a regularly replaced part and affix a sticker to the maintenance note indicating the added regular replacement period (1 year).
