DefectDuring the manufacturer's production process, the clear (coating) treatment intended to provide sufficient flexibility to the high-tension cord was improper. This may cause the high-tension cord to crack due to engine movement or driving vibration. If the vehicle continues to be used, cracks may occur in the high-tension cord of the ignition coil due to driving vibration or engine movement. If water penetrates the cracked area, there is a possibility that the ignition system may not operate normally, leading to this recall.
ComponentEngine (Power Generation System) - Other
RemedyAfter checking for the presence of clear (coating) treatment on the high-tension cord, vehicles without the clear (coating) treatment will have their ignition coil replaced.
