DefectIf the screws of the bypass flap cover of the EGR cooler loosen or detach, noise and odor may occur, and in some cases, surrounding parts (engine cover, rail pressure sensor, etc.) may be damaged. If the rail pressure sensor is damaged, the engine warning light and warning message will be displayed, and the vehicle will switch to safe mode. However, in very rare cases, a fire in the engine compartment cannot be ruled out, leading to this recall.

RemedyRetighten the fixing screws of the bypass flap cover of the EGR cooler, and replace the EGR module if there are traces of soot. This measure is identical to the free repair implemented on December 11, 2023, and may have already been completed through that free repair, so no additional action may be necessary. For detailed information on whether the action has been completed, please contact the Recall Hotline (080-269-5181) or your nearest service center.
