DefectSituation _x000D_ _x000D_ In-house quality analyses have led to the realisation that the exhaust gas recirculation coolers can possibly leak over the service life of the vehicle and do not meet our quality standard.
RemedyIn the worst case, the exhaust gas recirculation cooler can leak. The escaping coolant could create flammable deposits combined with the soot and oil deposits in the exhaust-gas recirculation cooler. In rare cases, this could lead to local scorching on the intake system and, in extreme cases, to a fire.
