Defect	Inside the gearbox of the power transmission system, due to insufficient design consideration for the pin that secures the gear shift fork to the gear selector shaft, repeated gear shift operations under high load conditions may cause the securing pin to loosen. As a result, shifting abnormalities such as increased shift time and improper engagement with the shift gear may occur. If use continues, even with gear shift operations, the gears may not switch properly, and there is a risk that the actual gear position and the gear position displayed on the instrument cluster may differ.

Remedy	① For all vehicles, rewrite the transmission control unit to a countermeasure specification so that it issues a warning if the actual gear position differs from the display on the instrument cluster. ② Inform all users about the outline of this defect, and if shifting abnormalities such as increased shift time or improper engagement with the shift gear occur, promptly urge them to bring the vehicle in for service. If a warning regarding this defect is issued, replace the securing pin with a countermeasure part.
