| Defect | The manual release cable of the bonnet latch may have excessive tension which potentially may cause the latch to open. If this occurs, the bonnet could open unexpectedly whilst the vehicle is in motion, obstructing the driver’s view. Obstruction of the driver’s view may increase the risk of an accident causing injury or death to vehicle occupants and other road users. |
| Remedy | Owners of affected vehicles should contact their preferred authorised McLaren dealer to make an appointment to replace the bonnet latch, free of charge. |
