DefectDue to a manufacturing defect, the brake pedal rod may not have been fastened to the specified torque and could detach. If this occurs, it can result in a reduction in braking performance and/or a loss of vehicle control._x000D_ Note: the parking brake can still be used to stop the vehicle. A reduction in braking performance and/or a loss of vehicle control could increase the risk of an accident, causing injury or death to vehicle occupants and other road users.
RemedyOwners of affected vehicles can contact their authorised Volvo dealership to schedule an appointment to have the repair work carried out, free of charge.
