DefectDue to a software issue, the Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) may not illuminate to alert the driver of a Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC) efficiency emission related issue. There is no safety hazard and the defect will not affect the performance of the vehicle._x000D_ Vehicles may not be compliant with the ADR 80/03 - Emission Control for Heavy Vehicles.
RemedyOwners of affected vehicles should contact their preferred Western Star dealer to arrange to have the software updated, free of charge.
