| Defect | Due to a software issue, the Electronic Power Assist Steering system (EPAS) may not operate as intended. This may result in a loss of power steering assist and could require greater steering effort from the driver. A loss of power steering assist driving may increase the risk of an accident, causing serious injury or death to vehicle occupants and other road users. |
| Remedy | This recall will be addressed by updating the vehicle software, which does not require the customer to schedule a Service appointment._x000D_ The software release that contains the remedy will be deployed over-the-air (OTA) to all affected vehicles._x000D_ If your vehicle is running software version 2023.38.4 or later, your vehicle is not subject to this issue. You can confirm your vehicle’s software version by tapping 'Controls' > 'Software’ on your touchscreen. |
