| Defect | Due to a manufacturing defect, the pipes to the rear brake system may have been incorrectly assembled. As a result, the Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) and the Electronic Stability Program (ESP) may not operate as intended leading to a loss of vehicle control whilst driving. A loss of vehicle control whilst driving could increase the risk of an accident causing injury or death to vehicle occupants and/or other road users. |
| Remedy | Owners of affected vehicles to contact their preferred authorised McLaren Dealer to make an appointment to have the pipes inspected and if necessary rectified, free of charge |
