| Defect | The electric power supply to the valves controlling fold-out steps on the crew cab may not operate as intended. This could prevent the steps from extending and cause the driver or vehicle occupant a fall risk while attempting to exit the vehicle._x000D_ Note: A warning about the improper step deployment is displayed in the instrument cluster. A fall from significant height may increase the risk of serious injury or death to vehicle occupant. |
| Remedy | Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by Scania Australia asking them to schedule an appointment with their local dealership to have the vehicle rectified, free of charge. |
