DefectDue to a manufacturing defect, the mounting bolts connecting the brake pedal rod and the brake servo may not have been tightened to the sufficient torque and could become loose. If this occurs, the foot brake pedal could become inoperable leading to a loss of braking performance. A loss of braking performance could increase the risk of an accident causing injury or death to vehicle occupants and/or other road users.
RemedyOwners of affected vehicles will be contacted by Audi Australia Pty Ltd and are asked to arrange with their nearest authorised Audi dealership to have the work carried out, free of charge.
