DefectForthing has identified a potential manufacturing defect involving the drive motor located in the front engine compartment. In affected vehicles, the DC busbar of the drive motor may rub against its fixing clip and become damaged over time. If the drive motor DC busbar becomes damaged, the vehicle may experience sudden loss of motive power, trigger insulation faults while driving, or be unable to start. This increases the risk of an accident and presents a safety hazard to vehicle occupants.
