DefectDue to improper routing of the harness in the voltage regulator, some harnesses are in contact with the front end of the crankcase. As a result, the harness insulation may peel off, causing a short circuit and blowing the main fuse, which may lead to the engine stopping while driving. *A voltage regulator is a device that controls the generated voltage to a constant level.
ComponentElectrical system (Voltage Regulator Harness)
RemedyFor all vehicles, inspect the regulator harness. If the routing is improper, reassemble it correctly. If the wiring is damaged, replace it with a new one and assemble it correctly.
