Citroën vehicle high voltage battery monitoring unit software has an error

CountryNew Zealand
CategoryAutomotive
Published2025-03-24
Models affectedC4
Model year2023-2025
DefectThe affected vehicles, equipped with high voltage battery, may face an error in the Battery Monitoring Unit software. This particular software, which was used for a safety recall to prevent engine cut off and released to customer service, is not effective to solve the issue (invalid cell voltage and the incorrect temperature module signal to Battery Monitoring System). In the most cases there is a risk that the ready mode is not available after vehicle start. In worst case scenario there is a potential risk of sudden loss of propulsion / engine cut off while driving.
