| Defect | Due to a manufacturing issue, the Pilot Assist System may not operate as intended and fail to alert the driver if the steering wheel is not being held. A loss of safety systems such as the Pilot Assist System whilst driving could increase the risk of an accident causing injury or death to vehicle occupants, other road user and bystanders. |
| Remedy | Owners of affected vehicles should contact their nearest authorised Volvo Group Australia immediately to schedule an appointment to have the work carried out, free of charge. |
