| Defect | On certain vehicles, the engine output shaft may fail and break. If this occurs, it could lead to a loss of power to the wheel. A sudden loss of motive power whilst driving could increase the risk of an accident, causing injury or death to the vehicle occupant and/or other road users. |
| Remedy | Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by BRP once the remedy is available asking them to book an appointment to have the work carried out, free of charge. |
