DefectDue to a software issue, the Integrated Electronic Brake (IEB) system may not operate as intended. Therefore, a higher braking force may be required when using the Remote Smart Parking Assist (RSPA) key function resulting in increased braking distance. A reduction in braking performance could increase the risk of an accident resulting in injury to the vehicle occupants, pedestrians, and other road users.
RemedyOwners of affected vehicles should immediately contact their preferred Kia dealer to schedule an appointment to have an IEB software update carried out, free of charge.
