DefectDue to a software issue in the Engine Control Unit (ECU), the main wiring harness may become exposed to increased engine temperatures and become damaged. As a result, the vehicle may experience loss of propulsion whilst driving. In addition, electrical resistance in the wiring could lead to a vehicle fire. A loss of propulsion whilst driving and/or a vehicle fire could increase the risk of an accident causing injury or death to vehicle occupants, other road users, bystanders, and/or damage to property.
