| Defect | Due to a software issue, the diesel particulate filter (DPF) silencer may overheat when performing regeneration. This may result in a vehicle fire. A vehicle fire may increase the risk of serious injury or death to the vehicle occupants other road users, bystanders and/or damage to property. |
| Remedy | Owners of affected vehicles can contact their preferred authorised Volvo Group dealership to schedule an appointment to have the works carried out free of charge. |
