DefectDue to a software issue, the high voltage battery may short circuit if charged over 80 percent capacity. If this occurs, the battery could overheat and lead to a vehicle fire. A vehicle fire could increase the risk of serious injury or death to vehicle occupants, other road users, and bystanders, and/or damage to property.
RemedyOwners of affected vehicles will be contacted by Mercedes-Benz when the software is available._x000D_ Note: Until the software update is performed on your vehicle, you should not charge your vehicle's high-voltage battery above 80%. You can adjust the maximum charging level in your vehicle's MBUX system or in your Mercedes-Benz app that is linked to your vehicle.
